David B. Sidon, CPA, Principal –

David
Sidon is a 1975 graduate of Merrimack College,
majoring in accounting. Certified by the
Commonwealth
of Massachusetts in 1978,
he went on to attain a masters degree in finance from Bentley College
in 1986. Mr. Sidon started his banking career as a director of
Gloucester Cooperative Bank in 1985, joining the Bank’s staff a year
later as senior lender. He was named president of the Bank in 1993,
serving as a director of the Community Bank League of New England
during that time. In 1996, he joined Gloucester Bank & Trust as
director of the Bank’s data processing center serving its parent
Bank as well as two other institutions.
In 1998, he
opened his consulting practice, and was immersed in all aspects of
the Y2K issue. Other engagements included ACH auditing, technology
system searches, conversion planning and project leadership,
strategic planning facilitation, and disaster recovery plans and
procedures. Additionally, from January, 2001 through June 30, 2003,
Mr. Sidon initiated and led an effort to form a new community
commercial bank in Gloucester,
Massachusetts.
Since
July, 2003, Mr. Sidon has returned to consulting practice, assisting
financial institutions with enterprise risk management and
technology strategies. He is actively engaged in FDICIA/SOX
compliance projects, disaster planning, business continuity and
other projects.
